چکیده

Abstract Background Chronic coronary total occlusions (CTO) are considered an emerging predictor of ventricular arrhythmias (VAs) but currently there only few data on arrhythmic outcomes in patients affected by CTO undergoing radiofrequency catheter ablation VAs. Objective This study sought to evaluate the impact unrevascularized recurrence VAs after ablation. Methods was a single-center retrospective that enrolled 120 patients, between 2015 and 2020. All were admitted for tachycardia (VT) or high premature contractions (PVCs) burden (>25% detected Holter ECG), without evidence acute syndrome; they underwent angiography, electrophysiology (EP) three-dimensional electroanatomic mapping (3D-EAM) followed Results Twenty-eight (23%) showed at angiography. At baseline, group presented with higher prevalence hypertension, chronic renal disease, systolic dysfunction, secondary prevention ICD implantation, rate low abnormal activities 3D-EAM compared non-CTO group. median follow-up 15 months (range 1-96 months) ablation, independent presence moderate severe left (LV) dysfunction (p=0.02). Conclusion The does not predict which is instead predicted LV dysfunction.

Long-Term Outcome With Catheter Ablation of Ventricular Tachycardia in Patients With Arrhythmogenic Right Ventricular Cardiomyopathy.

BACKGROUND Catheter ablation of ventricular tachycardia (VT) in arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy improves short-term VT-free survival. We sought to determine the long-term outcomes of VT control and need for antiarrhythmic drug therapy after endocardial (ENDO) and adjuvant epicardial (EPI) substrate modification in patients with arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy. ...

Long-Term Outcome After Catheter Ablation of Ventricular Tachycardia in Patients With Nonischemic Dilated Cardiomyopathy.

BACKGROUND Catheter ablation (CA) of ventricular tachycardia (VT) in patients with nonischemic dilated cardiomyopathy can be challenging because of the complexity of underlying substrates. We sought to determine the long-term outcomes of endocardial and adjuvant epicardial CA in nonischemic dilated cardiomyopathy. METHODS AND RESULTS We examined 282 consecutive patients (aged 59±15 years, 80%...

Catheter Ablation of Ventricular Tachycardia – Long-term Results

Sustained ventricular tachyarrhythmias represent the most life-threatening disturbance of cardiac rhythm. Many underlying structural heart diseases, generally associated with fibrous scar formation and geometrical alteration of the ventricles, predispose to the reentrant pattern of electrical activation, which is notorious arrhythmic mechanism in these conditions. Continuing ischemia, evolving ...

Successful revascularization improves long-term clinical outcome in patients with chronic coronary total occlusion

BACKGROUND Following the development of breakthrough techniques for percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) in the treatment of chronic total occlusions (CTO), the initial success rate of PCI in CTO lesions (CTO-PCI) has improved; however, there are few reports regarding the effects of successful CTO revascularization on long-term mortality in Japan. The aim of this study was to compare the lo...

Long-Term Outcomes of Catheter Ablation of Ventricular Tachycardia in Patients With Cardiac Sarcoidosis.

BACKGROUND Catheter ablation (CA) of ventricular tachycardia (VT) in patients with cardiac sarcoidosis can be challenging because of the complex underlying substrate. We sought to determine the long-term outcome of CA of VT in patients with cardiac sarcoidosis. METHODS AND RESULTS We enrolled 31 patients (age, 55±10 years) with diagnosis of cardiac sarcoidosis based on Heart Rhythm Society cr...
